Terms of use

Last updated Oct 23, 2026

These terms cover your use of WhereIsShe (“the game”), a daily geography guessing game. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

The game

Each day the game shows photos and short clips of a featured person, and you guess on a map where each one was taken. You can play without an account. Your progress is saved in your browser.

Accounts (optional)

• You can sign in with an email link or with Google to keep your stats, results and settings on several devices.
• Keep access to your email or Google account secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
• You can sign out at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy policy).

Featured people and submissions (“Feature me”)

• Only submit photos and videos of yourself, from your own account, and only if you are 18 or older. Don't submit photos of other people without their permission, and don't submit content you don't have the rights to.
• By submitting, you allow us to review your photos and videos and, if we pick them, to show them in the game, credit you, and link your Instagram on the card shown after the game. You keep ownership of your content.
• Map pins show where a photo was taken. We never pin a home address, and we ask you not to submit photos taken at or near your home.
• Submitting needs a free account with a verified email. To keep out spam there are limits (one submission a day, up to three waiting for review), and we may block accounts that abuse the form.
• We review every submission by hand and may decline any of them. Sending something doesn't guarantee it will be featured. You approve your day before it goes live.
• You can have your photos and profile link removed at any time, for any reason, by contacting us.

Premium

• Premium is an optional purchase. It removes the ads in the game and gives your Feature me submissions priority in our review queue. Priority review is about order, not approval: it doesn't guarantee being featured.
• Premium is a monthly subscription, pay what you want: at least $2.67 a month (suggested $6.70 a month). It renews automatically each month until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime.
• Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. The exact amount and any taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.
• Premium is tied to the account you're signed in with when you buy it.
• Refunds and cancellations: see the Refund policy.

Acceptable use

Don't try to disrupt the game, get around the submission limits or bans, access other people's data, or use the game to harass anyone, including the people featured in it. Don't use the game to try to find where someone lives.

Ads

Free players may see ads. Premium players don't.

No warranty

The game is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. Daily puzzles, features and prices may change, and the game may be paused or discontinued.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be announced in the game.
